Arcadia Cinema: 100,000 Lumens on the PLF ENERGIA screen

Cinemeccanica, as part of the renewed technical sponsorship agreement for the 80th Venice International Film Festival.

The Venice International Film Festival La Biennale di Venezia, which will take place from August 30 to September 9, 2023, will be provided with technological equipment for the screenings in the theaters used during the event, and will have highly qualified resources available to support the operators of the Venice Film Festival.

La Biennale di Venezia and Cinemeccanica have decided to give a new “green” imprint to the projection systems. Therefore, half of the 14 projectors that will be supplied for this edition of the Venice Film Festival will be equipped with laser light sources.

In addition to the energy savings (-50%) that this solution guarantees compared to xenon lamp-based light sources, the laser system is capable of reproducing a wider range of bright and natural colors and provides a uniform light distribution with over 95% uniformity.
Seven of the ten theaters will use projectors with laser light sources, initiating the technological transition that will bring content presentation in line with the technologies currently being implemented in theaters.

Once again, the projection of films in competition and presentation will be managed by Cinemeccanica TMS STREAMER, which ensures the direct streaming of data for the projection of content stored on the central server, simultaneously in multiple cinema halls.
